A chromed Federal Gunship! (no wonder i got worn out after a few hundred jumps)

The fun thing about these projects is that you can use literally any ship as jump range really doesn’t matter. I switched ships after every phase and ended up trying out a Viper, Challenger, Keelback, and a Cobra. I was also doing Exobiology on the side (netted 13B from that)
it was basically just my combat FGS (https://s.orbis.zone/mgv_), but with the guns & utilities removed, and minus some armor & SCB to put in a fuel scoop and a big extra fuel tank, and a small SRV hangar.
since the jumps are all so small, no need for the FSD booster, or worry about jump range at all. doing economical plotting, it had a range of a couple thousand ly.
My only wish is that something dumb like this is how Raxla is discovered.

I got stranded, I shit you not, at the very tip of it during a trans-galactic trip that I made trying to set an Elite record by crossing the galaxy without a fuel scoop.
How do you cross the galaxy without a fuel scoop?
Very carefully. PcGamer did a story on me when I pulled it off:

But there are basically two ways to do it - plan a single trip in which you do exponentially more jumps but on a single tank of fuel without refueling, or try to cross the galaxy in the fewest jumps possible but refuel periodically at deep space fleet carriers. I chose the latter, because it also allowed me to try to set a record for an extragalactic space voyage beyond Ishum’s Reach too. Both methods are almost certain to result in failure and as far as I am aware I am one of the few people to ever pull this off, and I still hold the Elite record for crossing the galaxy in the fewest jumps possible without a fuel scoop or repairing my ship along the way. I’m not sure if it is still up, but I made an Inara log (linked in my main post on this) in which I documented every fuck up and near catastrophe along the way. I barely made it with near 0% hull integrity and almost zero fuel left.
Did Fdev ever give you anything or even a note of "nice"? In any way from doing so?
If they learn about it, they usually talk about it in the livestreams. At least they did when I broke the Sol to BP record a while ago...
Nope only thing FDev ever did for me was cancel console support, so I stopped playing Elite lol.

when you are using toggling flight assist and charging friend ship drives a lot it gets annoying.

In audio settings from main menu, you need to expand Voice settings then you can toggle off a lot of announcements.
I’m pretty sure it’s called voice, but you’ll see. If it’s not clear, just expand each category
commenter below mentioned it, but basically you can isolate each announcement from like flight assist on/off and countdowns and stuff.

That was me... all of the pieces are from the sets you earn by Exobiology. The base suit (red) is earned by achieving ecologist and all the blue pieces are earned at cataloguer rank. o7

Does this mean no-one else can jump around in there as the consequence would be altering or even destroying the artwork?
People are free to explore the region same as before, their jumps won't ruin it same as previous existing jumps don't.
